San Diego Symphony Premiere of Concerto Venezolano in Costa Mesa

San Diego Symphony with conductor Rafael Payare

In a joint commission from four orchestras, the US premiere of “Concerto venezolano” for trumpet and orchestra by Paquito D’Rivera, continues. The San Diego Symphony will be performing the premiere in three locations in Costa Mesa, San Diego, and Palm Desert. Rafael Payare conducts the San Diego Symphony, with Pacho Flores, soloist.

The premiere in the US is commissioned by the San Diego Symphony. Other participating orchestras are the Orquesta Sinfónica de Minería, Orquesta de Valéncia, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.
