A night of music and conversation with Grammy Award–winning musician Paquito D’Rivera. A pioneer of Afro-Cuban jazz and a master of multiple musical styles, D’Rivera fled Communist Cuba in 1980 to seek artistic freedom in the United States. This event will explore his early life and musical training in Cuba, his journey to the U.S., and his creative efforts to fuse jazz, rock, classical, and Cuban music into a rich and diverse soundscape.

Pianist Alex Brown will be joining Paquito D’Rivera.
