Arias From Paquito’s New Opera “Cecilio Valdés, King of Havana”

Heard on June 14 in the Academy of Music, Philadelphia, Opera America presented “New Works Sampler” with performers from the Curtis Institute of Music, to attendees of the 2012 conference. Among those presented included arias from Paquito D’Rivera’s opera “Cecilio Valdés, King of Havana” represented by Boosey and Hawkes. The full opera is not yet complete.
