On September 19th, Mr. D’Rivera received the NYC Fans Decision Jazz Award 2016 for Clarinet. The awards ceremony, sponsored by Hot House and The Metropolitan Room, celebrates NYC Jazz winning artists of the NYC Jazz Fans Decision survey for best jazz musicians in the New York area.
Artists are nominated each spring, with categories ranging from instrumentalists to vocalists. Top nominations are posted late summer for fans to vote online for their favorites. Nominated artists must have performed in New York City in the past year to qualify.
The annual event took place at the Metropolitan Room in New York City.
