Paquito D'Rivera, GRAMMY award winning Clarinetist and Saxophonist
In this tenth year of the anniversary of the death of Bebo Valdés, Paquito D'Rivera joins with Cucurucho Valdés (pianist) and Javier Colina (bass) in this tribute.
Paquito D'Rivera with Pepe Rivero (piano) and Sebastian Laverde (vibraphone), together again for two nights at Recoletos Jazz Madrid on March 22 and 27.
The Paquito D'Rivera Quintet will be performing at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center located in Great Barrington, MA.
Paquito D'Rivera brings the electric fusion of Havana to life with unparalleled improvisation, syncopated harmonies, and virtuosic orchestration. Along with his acclaimed quintet, special guests include Chucho Valdes, Edmar Castaneda, Roberta Gambarini, Yotam Silberstein, Héctor del Curto, Roberto Vizcaino, Victor Provost, and the Young People's Chorus of New York City.
Paquito D'Rivera, guest artist, will be with the Charleston Jazz Orchestra in a performance entitled "Havana Night with Paquito D’Rivera".
The Paquito D'Rivera Quintet will be back at the Jazz Forum Arts for two nights from May 2 and May 3 at 7pm and 9:30 pm! Quintet members joining in are Alex Brown (piano), Diego Urcola (trumpet), Hamish Smith (acoustic bass), and Julian Miltenberger (drums).
