On September 30, the Barcelona Clarinet Players announced they have been awarded a Silver Medal from the Global Music Awards for their new album Fantasías Barcelónicas, a Tribute to Paquito D’Rivera.
The Silver Medal winners are in recognition for outstanding achievement. The Barcelona Clarinet Players new album with Paquito D’Rivera won the chamber music category.
Fantasías Barcelónicas, a Tribute to Paquito D’Rivera was recorded last year and released last summer. The album is solely comprised of works by Paquito D’Rivera and specifically adapted for the Barcelona Clarinet Players. D’Rivera joins them on several tracks. Read More about the album.
